Y4 meet an author

Year 4 had a fantastic morning at Longsight library when they met the children’s author, Guy Bass.  He told them about how he became an author, where he gets ideas from and he read extracts from his books. Guy also showed pictures from his illustrator of scenes and characters.   He had a puppet of one of his characters, Stitch Head. The children had the opportunity to ask Guy some questions and buy his books. He signed the books and drew an illustration for each child.  The  Year 4 pupils would like to say a big ‘thank you’ to Guy and the staff at the library.

Hi to everyone in Y4 at Plymouth Grove! EPIC to meet you all last week. Thanks for giving me and Stitch Head (and the truly horrible bunting) such a warm welcome. I had a whale of a time! Which is much better than having the time of a whale. Enjoy your books! Cheers – Guy (that writing bloke off of guybass.com)

    Hi Guy!
Thanks again for inviting us to come and meet you. We had a fantastic time and we are currently reading ‘Atomic’ as our class book. There are now ten Stitch Head portraits up on my wall!
    Thanks again,
    Miss T and year 4
