Dear Parents,
On Wednesday 9th May we will be holding workshops for parents. The purpose of these workshops is to provide you with ways of supporting your child’s learning at home. It will also be an opportunity to feedback on ways the school can continue to improve. The times will be as follows:
Assertive mentoring meeting 2.45pm-3.15pm in school hall
The purpose of this meeting is to inform parents about how the assertive mentoring system works. We would also like feedback on how this information can be used when reporting to parents.
Reading workshop 3.30pm-4.00pm
Identify ways in which you can support your child with their reading at home.
Maths workshop 3.30pm-4.00pm
Demonstrate ways in which you can help your child with maths skills at home
For children that attend our school we will provide activities in the hall whilst you attend the workshops. Unfortunately we are unable to provide crèche facilities for younger children (not of school age). I understand that not all parents will be able to attend and if you tick the box below we can make sure any materials are available for you.
Please complete the attached form indicating the workshops you would like to attend. Please ensure that you write the names of your child/children and their class.
We hope this event will be very informative. If demand is very high we will have to admit on a first come first served basis. We intend to hold one event per term.
Yours sincerely
M. Cooke
